School Memos

Dear Parents and Students,

We look forward to welcoming all out First Year students to Glanmire Community College next Tuesday 27 August from 8.50am to 12.30pm. First year students will assemble on Tuesday morning from 8.30am onwards in the B Block (Old building) Social Area where they will meet their Class Teachers and Year Head.   

Parents and students are asked to note that each First Year student will be assigned an individual locker and a new padlock with 3 keys. As part of our Book Rental Scheme students will find the required text books for their subjects in their locker.

We would like to thank all the members of our Parents Council who helped in the unloading, stamping, covering, sorting, allocating and placing of literally thousands of books over the last number of days in lockers for our First Year students. We are certain this will greatly help our First Year students in settling in to GCC. Our GCC Parents Council meets on the first Monday of each month and new members are always welcome. Our thanks also to Mr Baldwin and Ms Histon for administering the scheme on behalf of the school
