School Memos

Our Leaving Cert construction studies students produced some excellent projects this year reflecting professional architectural and design standards. This level of project based learning is excellent preparation for the professional working world, especially in the design, construction, engineering and manufacture industry, working to deadlines and producing high level prototypes and presentations for clients. The projects are exact scale models of specific building details all in line with current building regulations, to have a low energy impact driving towards the EU nZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) target for 2020. This has developed great awareness for students about design in building and how to adapt existing buildings for a more sustainable future.
