The above students attended a linguistics workshop in Douglas Community School with DCS students, Colaiste Mhuire Buttevant and students from Christ the King School. This workshop was facilitated by a former winner of the competition who took time out from his studies to give us a few pointers on how to solve some puzzles. Students figured out Japanese Braille and Lalana Chinantec (a language spoken in Mexico). The 2018 GCC linguistics team made valuable contributions to the discussion and will compete in round one of the competition in January. We wish them the best of luck.
