Glanmire Community College, once again, was acknowledged as one of the six national winners of ‘Active School’ award in 2008. This award reflected the numerous activities that are ongoing in the school.
To cater for the interest of all pupils, a comprehensive programme of co-curricular activities are provided, allowing pupils to participate in musicals, cultural activities, 
pioneer group,school tours,drama,civic link.and other events/groups.

The wide ranging physical education program provided for students allows them to participate in activities of their choice. This is endorsed through our range of extra-curricular sports activities.
